The news of a shortage will now make everyone want one. Scalpers will drive state to state clearing out remaining inventory, and selling $100 bikes for $1, 000.

I started working at a local bike shop months before COVID. We sold ALL our bikes in a week, had our biggest day in our near-century of business. I got into this job at the perfect time.

This is very true. I’m glad I already have a bike. I just needed it serviced and even that’s going to take at least 2 weeks or so. The bike shop I went to was bare. No bikes for sale. It was eerie.

My son lives in Casper WY and is looking for a bike to ride to work and for exercise. Walmart had nothing!

I just wanted to buy a damn bike. Everywhere I look there's not a single bike to be found. Even on Amazon they won't be available for months. This sucks.

This in not just U.S. The Worldwide demand is way up. And production is all in CN and TW. I would not expect demand to drop any time soon.
