Great scene to watch in the theater. Vision held up the hammer and whole crowd was silent for a second. Then everyone connected the dots and went nuts. There's a time and place to watch movies alone, but this is not one of them. Movies like this are always better with a group.

So many people trying to turn the movies into a direct adaptation of the comics. "So there may be no way to make you trust me" as he hands Thor the hammer that only the pure of heart should be able to move and in an instant makes all the heroes trust him. The timing wasn't a coincidence. As far as the elevator analogy, it was Stark patronizing Thor's attempt at rationalizing Vision's action. Even for you comic purest, you should take into account that Vision does at one point cry in the comics. It was an awesome moment that made the audience go quiet ever so briefly. Don't ruin it with talk that Vision is just a machine.
