In this video, I will show you the general steps to program your solar charge controller for use with lithium iron phosphate batteries. This is not a step by step video with exact settings. You will need to adapt these general steps to your specific application. I highly recommend contacting your battery manufacturer for this! #morningstar #lithiumchargecontroller #millertech

With Lithium Batteries 14V is already 100% charged. Charging them to 14.2 does not give you more capacity or better cycle life. Just to give you a quick insight on where the most capacity of a lifepo4 batterie lies: 14.0V = 100%, 13.8 = 99%, 13.4 = 90%, 13.2 = 40%-70%, 13.0 = 30%, 12.8 = 17%, 12.4 = 9% and 10.4 = 0%. So if you use a Lifepo4 Battery between 12.4V and 13.5V should do good things to the battery and you can expect double the life-time.

I just been using mode 3 for a cheap controller. Is that okay? 😅
