Why would you only recommend this to you non-bag-nerd friends? What disqualifies it as a recommendation to you bag-nerd friends?
Genuine question, is there something wrong with this bag in terms of features that bag nerds would want? I‘m wondering because I‘m thinking about getting this as an EDC bag because sometimes, my Aer Travel Pack 3 Small X-Pac is just a bit too big just for carrying a laptop, tablet, (sometimes Steamdeck) and a charger, the only thing I‘m debating with myself over is if I‘d have preferred a separate laptop compartment, other than that, the bag looks great, hence why I was surprised you said you‘d recommend this to your non-bag-nerd friends, because I definitely consider myself a bag nerd lol. Is there anything I overlooked with this bag that would piss my inner bag nerd off?

I would buy this pack in an instant if it had a separate laptop compartment.
I hope the next iteration will have that separate compartment.

I really like this bag, the materials, the weather resistance, the layout, the capability, and the design of the exterior of the bag. But I am not a fan of the laptops false bottom, it's the only big miss on this bag imho.

A $200 modern bag should not have laptop compartment inside the bag.
Espeically when the main compartment opens with a slanted zip.
