I haven't heard anyone say anything about skin color or gender. The show was terrible, made it to episode 3. I was embarrassed watching it, and there was no one else in the room. I'm a fan who can quote movies 1 - 6. What the hell was the Acolyte even about ? Showing the Jedi were weak, stupid, and bad, the Darkside was misunderstood ?
They have actively sabotaged everything that made me a fan to begin with.

I watched 7 minutes of this series. 7 minutes. In that 7 minutes, Carrie Anne Moss showed us she could act, even with a bad script. Stenberg showed she could not act, regardless of script.
And i guess that’s the issue, isn’t it? She’s not a good actor. If i build a house for someone, it’s my job to read the plans, have the proper tools, and make certain building codes are maintained, or the house will suffer, and people will be short changed for their purchase. And, if i build a bad house, it’s not because the homeowners are stupid, or sexist, or haters. It’s because the house is shit, they know it, and deep down, i know it too. The Acolyte knows it’s shit. The actors know it’s shit. The fans know it’s shit. Sadly, the actors have decided everyone else is wrong. Defending shit work is a sign you can’t do better work.
The acolyte is shit work. The house that Lucas built wasn’t. The man was a good carpenter. Headland is not.
