Paranoid Android performed by Radiohead

Please could you stop the noise, Im trying to get some rest
From all the unborn chicken voices in my head
Whats there? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
Whats there? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)

When I am king, you will be first against the wall
with your opinion which is of no consequence at all
Whats there? (I may be paranoid, but no android)
Whats there? (I may be paranoid, but no android)

Ambition makes you look pretty ugly
Kicking, squealing gucci little piggy
You dont remember
You dont remember
Why dont you remember my name?
Off with his head, man
Off with his head, man
Why dont you remember my name? I guess he does

Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height height
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height height
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me

Thats it sir
Youre leaving
The crackle of pigskin
The dust and the screaming
The yuppies networking
The panic, the vomit
The panic, the vomit
God loves his children, God loves his children, yeah.

The official video is fun, but it distracts from how good this song is.

Exact. Exactly what I feel hearing this. Perfect words, perfectly describing the filing that this song can arise

One of the greatest songs of all time and the best of Radiohead. The "Rain Down" part is absolutely amazing and ingenious. The guitar is incredible. Catchy riff which is extremely hard to play on guitar, considering Thom plays it while singing... Speechless.

From its guitars to its vocals to its changes of pace a TREMENDOUS, boundary-defying track.

I was 9 years old in 1997. I was starting to get Into music and Ok Computer was one of the first CDs I ever purchased. Easily one of the best albums in the last 20 years. This is masterpiece song.

I've been listening to this song for years. The more I listen the better it gets. Radiohead is truly the only band I've heard that perfectly mixes the emotions of beauty, and depression. The way they can paint a picture of the tedium of life and then contrast it with the feelings of euphoria and amazement. It's really some of the best music ever written.

The music video for this song, if I had made it:
0:00: Shot of a house late at night. People are outside partying. Inside, a man (played by Thom Yorke) in bed is being kept awake by the noise.
0:47: Montage of birds, skulls, other strange images in foreground over the man's face as he lies in bed awake.
1:08: Morning, the guy puts on his suit, then says goodbye to his daughter as he leaves for work. The little girl hands him a rose as a gift.
1:38: Cut to work. In a moment of frustration, he knocks the rose out of the window, and the vase shatters on the sidewalk.
1:58: More random grotesque images over the guy's pained facial expressions as he endures the workday.
2:20: Cut to a meeting. At 2:42, some other co-workers start throwing paper airplanes at the guy. He then snaps, gets in their faces yelling, and runs around the office breaking everything in a fit of rage.
3:34: Seeing what he's done, he slowly climbs the stairwell up to the door marked "roof access". It is raining. Images of angels and other things as he prepares to jump.
5:05: He jumps off attempting suicide. He falls past the windows of the office, then that fades into falling past fire, lava, all kinds of things going on in hell.
5:36: An angel catches him by the leg suddenly. She pulls him up out of hell, then flies him into a hospital, and lays him on the bed.
6:10: He wakes up in therapy. A psychologist is talking to him. Images flash one last time, then nothing. The man is sane at last.

What I love is the majority of comments on Radiohead videos are actually well-articulated thoughts written properly and educatedly.
I think that says a lot.

The first time I heard this song it was simply "background music" while I was doing about 10 things at once, but after I listened to it a 2nd time and gave it my full attention I realized how well-written, intense and amazing this song is.

What makes OK Computer so good is the fact it holds more relevance today than it did in 1997

When Radiohead played Paranoid Android live Jools Holland 1997, The Foo Fighters were playing that evening. David Grohl said he experienced music revolution in real time watching them play this song.

It's the Radiohead's Bohemian Rhapsody. A complete masterpiece...

Anybody who has ever felt alienation or insanity or just out of place in the universe knows how amazing this album truly is.
