You can use any level 4 as cost for Insect Imitation, One-time Passcode is a legal token lv. 4 generator in the event. So, you can special summon Mother Spider with Imitation without normal summon.

I just gained all the gems in the event in 2 and a half hours with a similar version. I got the build from other video. Some tips for you:

You can go first with this deck. Go for cicada king or make two level four to go into any xyz insect into the rhino guy. If you draw the mother spider use her to make a level 5 into the rhino.

Always detach the level 10 from the level 11 xyz or else you insta lose the game.

I was on a version that was all monsters with 2 sekka's light.

Cicada king and the rhino are two urs... from legacy packs. If you have at least one copy of the two of them play this deck. If not, just search the lyrilusc otk, is also dirt cheap.

About the decklist, I browse budget options king of the island event yugioh, and a guy had some 5 decks, this was one of them.

Dragonbite + Resonance insect combo can also search mother spider slitter. Link them of into Beetrooper armor horn (SR). Use resonance insect to search mother spider and use armor horn effect to normal summon mother spider.

Got all my gems from the festival with a Yosenju Kama going 2nd deck (max out on dark holes, raigeki, lightning storm)

Only 2 losses right off the bat getting the feel of it and trying random combos lol

Hah, mother splinter finally! I did use it for the latest Dark / Light event since it allows to go easily in a rank 5 with 3 materials (Arc-Rebellion XYZ dragon) or into the rank 10/11/12 spiders. With Kaiju and other board breakers like superpoly and albaz it was fun for the L&D Event. Maybe i should try something similar again for the XYZ / Fusion event but not this variant xD

Nice deck, thanks for sharing! I tried adding inzektor exa-stag and digital bug rhinosebus to fill the remaining slots in the extra deck, rhinosebus could be used as some kind of first turn interruption

Would probably suggest maybe putting Number 70: Malevolent Sin only because the number of lv 4s that are in the deck. Also it's N rarity too
