European airline strikes leave thousands of flights cancelled – BBC News

Passengers have faced a raft of flight cancellations causing disruptions for many families leaving holiday plans ruined.

Last weekend, Ryanair cabin crew unions in Belgium, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy went on strike.

On Thursday, crews in Spain walked out yet again and EasyJet staff are also set to take industrial action.

I still cannot comprehend how during corona the rift between wealthy and poor widened significantly more than the previous years. How company executives got massive premiums but somehow the employees didnt get a raise. Still baffles me. If you withold 1 premium for a CEO that already earns alot, you can raise the wage for 1000s of employees at the same company...

I was flying from Eindhoven on Tuesday and I saw a flight to Valencia delayed by 11 hours. I was so lucky that mine was delayed by only 35 minutes.

What pay rises have Ryan Air and Easy Jet paid out to CEOs, CFOs etc. There never seems to be a shortage of money for the execs pay!

Don't care. Give fair pay and improve conditions. They don't work in cushy offices without any risk to life. They are doing a high risk job and need improved rest conditions and fair pay. Simple

I used to be a flight attendant for a very short time …. Very very low pay… very tiring but I had to sacrifice my health in return
