New York Times (How to Fix a Pageant Reaction)

How To Fix A Pageant is a New York Times Presents documentary that takes a look at allegations that the Miss USA Pageant’s 2022 winner, Texas’ R’Bonney Gabriel, was predetermined before the pageant took place. There are also allegations that Max Sebrechts, a vice president of the pageant and the husband of then-owner Crystle Stewart, sexually harassed multiple contestants. Here are my thoughts on the documentary.

I absolutely love what you touched on in your closing. Yes, pageantry is an channel through which young ladies learn to dream. I wasn't the smartest. I wasn't the sharpest. I wasn't the fastest. I was the athletic one. But pageants allowed me to hone my skills of being confident, poised, feminine, graceful, and elegant. When a young woman taps into those things, she sees other gifts, talents, and skills that were not as visible before. Pageantry can have lifelong impacts. ❤ Great video.

crystle stewart shot herself in the foot multiple times it's clear this is the end of her connection to pageants. she fell flat on her butt in miss universe 2008 and she sure did fall flat on her face this time for the answers she gave in the documentary. what a shame.

You were talking about it in detail that there is no reason to watch the documentary, in my opinion. It was very nice of you to talk about your life growing up. I pray that God continues to bless you. 🙏🏽

Love you Dani❤️ As a woman with a background in performing arts/entertainment, pageantry also helped me to dream and be confident in my personal skills! I love what you said about quoting Jeff on how pageantry is relevant and how your channel changed your life. I’m so happy for you🎉

Dear Dani. Thank you so much for sharing your story growing up. And how pageantry has changed your life. I was deeply touched by your openness and honesty. I know this part of your video is going to inspire many who watch this. The entire video is very well done. As always your content is worth the watch and worth the time investment from my day. Cheers from western Canada. Raylene

So, I used to be one of the people who didn't understand the hard work that pageants take, at least until I found your channel this year. I'm still not sure that happened lol (I'm a park ranger and all my normal videos are of outdoorsy things), but I'm so glad I did! I now defend pageants to random people, so consider your channel as mission accomplished ha

I have been a hugeee Taylor Hale fan after she won Big Brother so it was so sad and crazy to hear about what happened to her at Miss USA. I'm glad though that she didn't let it ruin her overall experience, but so crazy more people are not talking about all these scandals...

So I saw the documentary as well as other video recaps and stayed up to date when the “scandal “ broke on social media . R’bonney winning universe was the ultimate karma to all those haters claiming it was rigged . And. That one contestant that was the ring leader was such a bully. The documentary basically stated that they were upset and jealous that rbonney had a shoot for the spa before the pageant when in reality the sponsor had used her in years past for promo. Just sour grape people mad they didn’t win . Can’t imagine how hard it must’ve been for rbonney with no support going into universe.

❤ I love this video! Congratulations 🎉 to your pursuing this journey of ur u tube and ur love for pageantry. I too believe my journey through life all stemmed from pageantry. My confidence, learning my platform with health care. I am now years later looking back and proud of my strength and happiness with my healthcare business. Life is a journey and pageantry was my beginning. Thank you for ur channel ❤

Dani, first of all, love that dress. That was from your recent thrift, right?

Secondly, love the quote you gave at the end about democratizing opportunity and fame. What a cool articulation of pageantry. Perhaps that's why those of us who are fans but weren't necessarily involved as contestants also keep watching, because it is really special and inspiring to see that happen in someone's life. Loved your thoughts on that.

This was such a good video, dani. You're so smart and caring when it comes to different issues but are not to affrade to say what you beleave. Thank you. Is this your main job, and do you usually get paid to jug pagents. Following, about how many pagents do you judge pet year? Finally, thank you for all the videos you make, for being onest when talking about pagents, and being a source of good.

Thank you for your in-depth report!
It is so sad to witness the direction of legendary pageants (Miss America, Miss USA, Miss Universe) are heading to.
Crystle Stewart is the fiercest Miss USA winner. But, I am not sure about her expertise to direct the organization.

I wish all the best!
