Why would any cabinet official, especially the SOS, think that she wouldn't be dealing with sensitive communications anyway? We all know that we get all kinds of stuff emailed to us that we can't control.

Govt documents are re-classified all the time. The fact that they are all sensitive should have persuaded her to use the govt email system. Of course, she probably did not consult the president about her choice (even though he had specifically asked his administration to use govt email to support his pledge of transparency) or seek the advice of govt security officials on the wisdom of using a private server and, at least, how to protect it.

As Sanders has said often--bad judgement.
