Integration is becoming a popular practice as more and more people are exploring the potentials of entheogens. Integration refers to a meaning-making process following a profound experience. But there are currently many approaches to integration. How do you find the right approach for you? For some, this may require a professional therapist to help them reflect on psychological issues, others may require a spiritual mentor for spiritual inquiries, and others prefer a peer sharing circle. This talk will review and discuss the basic approaches and paradigms of thought regarding integration, as well as give practical guidelines and tips for creating your own peer integration circles in your community.

Larry Norris, Ph.D., studied biopsychology and cognitive science as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and recently defended his doctoral dissertation at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco. His thesis reviewed archived ayahuasca experience reports to identify archetypes of transformation and insights to help develop integration models. Larry is the co-founder and executive director of Entheogenic Research, Integration, and Education (ERIE), 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Oakland, CA. ERIE focuses on the development of community education, research, and integration models related to entheogens. Larry is also a co-founder and board member of Decriminalize Nature (DN), which sprouted from Oakland in 2019 and has already received unanimous decisions in both Oakland (June 4, 2019) and Santa Cruz (January 28, 2020). Larry is the co-lead for DN’s national outreach and supports communities in cities across the USA seeking to propose similar legislation. In Oakland, he is also helping to support the Oakland Community Healing Initiative, a pilot program under development to provide grassroots, community-driven, bottom-up approaches to entheogenic healing and integration. Larry is a dedicated activist and proponent of consciousness justice and liberty, and emphasizes the sacred potential of entheogens given the appropriate set, setting, and intention.

My first night of Aya...felt like nothing at all was happening yet next day I was feeling fine ..not sick (I went in with a Heroin addiction) Threw my Methadone down the loo and continued the other two nights of the retreat. No withdrawals. I know this is not very common. I took 2 of my friends who were also addicts however they were still sick every day. I believe it's because they didn't go for themselves...they went for their partners and family. Mother Aya knew how desperate I was to get off it...had tried everything. This January I was 6 years totally clean...no relapses. ❤

The scientific paradigm does not need to be rigid or hyper-materialistic. Most epistemologists of science would consider that a misapplication of the scientific paradigm.
