I can't blame those who choose to stay and defend their homes against the fires, when the alternative is losing everything, becoming displaced, facing price gouging and bidding wars for housing, dealing with crooked insurance companies, and facing an incoming administration that doesn't want to help unless strings are attached. I'd rather stay and fight to protect my home as well.
