Stocks soar as Trump announces 90-day tariff pause

U.S. stocks are surging on a euphoric Wall Street Wednesday after President Donald Trump said he would temporarily back off on some of his tariffs, as investors had desperately hoped he would. FOX 5 NY's Sharon Crowley explains.

it seems he’s using the tariffs as a scaring tactic to get other countries to go along with what he wants… is he doing it to scare companies into buying more stocks? is he doing it to allow billionaires to make more money from the big ups and downs? i don’t fully understand this. he has to know that tariffs to this extent don’t work, so maybe he’s using the threat of tariffs to get what he wants. it just feels a bit like bullying and usually that doesn’t play out well for the bully
