I recently fell in love with Jeremiah George and Lollia's orchestral take on the song, and they were kind enough to let me do a version of the arrangement for my own channel! if you'll notice, Toriel was pissed that Asgore didn't take one soul, go out into the outside world and take 6 more. She was down with the plan until he didn't do anything proactively, and instead was reactive. Asgore was more hesitant to kill, but Toriel (in the past) wanted him to go out and kill six people instead of hoping no one would fall down again. So this song is a great cover of Asgore and I enjoy the lyrics because from the start, Asgore was unsure of killing humans and realized he made a promise he didn't want to keep. His insecurities intensified once Toriel left him and he was alone (until he adopted Undyne as his daughter).

This is so freaking amazing. It perfectly captures everything about Asgore's personality and his views during the fight, not just his unwillingness to actually go through with it (like most of the fandom does). Honestly, if Undertale suddenly became a musical, this would likely be what played during that fight
