Mosque Gives Rabbi Place to Stay and Pray After Snow Storm

A rabbi had his prayers answered when he was rescued from a snowy highway after being stranded for hours. Rabbi Israel Elbom was in Istanbul, but headed to the airport to return home to Israel when the heavy snow stopped him in his tracks. He was going to have to stay a little longer, so a local mosque welcomed him with open arms. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Truly heartwarming that acts like these happen daily but sad that caring for each other isn't normalized as much as it should be

So glad these people who come from two different worlds were able to come together and accept each other.
We need more of this in the world.

That's an amazing quote right there 🥰

As a Christian, this is beautiful to see others loving their neighbors as themselves and welcoming them into their homes. This is how the world should work.✨💞

Very touching. That's how we should practice our religion .We may not embrace their belief, but we can embrace them literally by showing even a little love to them.
Thanks IE for showing this heartwarming video in this time of war, hatred and disbelief.

It’s a beautiful mosque and even more beautiful people with great big hearts.

As a Jew myself, this is AMAZING to watch. Warms my heart and gives me hope for future Muslim-Jewish relations (btw, according to Jewish law, it is not forbidden for a Jew to pray in a mosque. However, obviously, it is only in extreme cases when a Jew cannot make it to a synagogue).

The most important part in this video was when he said: “We’re praying to the same God.” I’m Catholic and Pope Francis said that too. We just pray to him differently, and if we put away the hate and the misinformation, I believe God will be more happy to just love and pray in peace, rather than pray and hate. This truly warmed my heart.

If my heart wasn't already filled from the video, the comments and the amount of people who support this truly gave me hope for the world. Peace and Blessings to all here.
