How can young Africans be changemakers in the workplace of the 21st Century?
Показать описание
Young people in sub-Saharan Africa are struggling to translate their skills into productive employment. Mastering multiplication tables and learning to read a newspaper won't be enough, even with greater access to capital or mentorship support. Young leaders must be able to apply skills like leadership, teamwork, creativity, and empathy in order to take charge of their futures as African changemakers. How can they learn these skills?
On October 9th, we bring a live broadcast of a moderated conversation featuring two experts who empower young Africans to become leaders and changemakers.
Use the #AfricaYouthFwd and #SocEntChat hashtags to join the conversation through twitter and G+ Hangout about how-to's with:
Marlon Parker, Founder of RLabs, an information technology hub that fosters creativity and innovation and enables young people in vulnerable communities to be leaders of change as well as create employment opportunities for themselves and others.
Esther Eshiet, Founder of the After-School Peer Mentoring Project an initiative that aims to provide growth opportunities for young people to develop themselves personally and professionally.
