Supporters of Pakistan’s Imran Khan rallied in Lahore on March 13, 2023, as the former prime minister continued his call for snap polls. The 70-year-old politician was ousted after a vote of no-confidence in parliament in 2022. He has been involved in several court cases since his ouster, including charges he unlawfully sold state gifts while in office. Current prime minister Shehbaz Sharif has rejected calls for a snap vote, as the country prepares for general elections expected in late 2023.
