"my 13 inch macbook pro 2016 without the touchbar", have some flickering issues when i open "my 13 inch macbook pro 2016 without the touchbar" from sleep... solved it by put "my 13 inch macbook pro 2016 without touchbar" back to sleep and then open "my 13 inch macbook pro 2016 without touchbar" again. hopefully apple can repair this problems.

I really wanted to switch to macbook pro 2017, but went to try it (and Final Cut) first to Apple store yesterday evening, because I heard a lot about those freezing issues. The machine was freshly installed. I am sorry to say that after 5 minutes of editing in Final Cut, the macbook got frozen. Screen frozen, touchpad did not react, keyboard inactive, touch bar dead. Nothing was working, the staff had to reset the machine. All the project in Final Cut was lost after restart. Big big disappointment considering its price and mainly the lost of work (if that happened after one hour of serious editing work, hmm, I would be very angry). New freshly installed machine in Apple show room. It happened about 6 months after this youtube video was published, so looks to me like there is still no patch.

Shit, the same exact thing happened to me. I thought i broke it the first time. Took it to the Apple store, they gladly replaced it for a new one with the same specs (upgraded process and gfx). Today, Jan 28th, Day 3 with the new one and it freezes on me with that green flicker of death! Not sure what to do as my job is video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro. Should I return it and get an upgraded 2015 model or hold onto this one and hope for a solution? By the way, I noticed I was editing on OpenCL this whole time. Gonna try to switch to Software Only and see if it makes a difference.

Try switching your video renderer to "Metal" for now, still glitchy but it won't make your Macbook crash.

Exact same thing happened with mine. First one had the discrete 450 gpu went bad as soon as I started creating proxies in AME. Returned it. Bought a 455 gpu version, same thing happened. I found that it happened less when I switched the accelerated gpu setting to metal inside of AME instead of openCL. Inside of Premiere, however, metal was a no-go and openCL seemed to work alright... until it didn't and started crashing over and over again. Took it back as well. Waiting for more attention to this problem. I don't care who's at fault here; adobe or apple. Bottomline is, I can't get my work done on Apple's brand new product and until my workflow (which works perfectly fine with the same software on an over 5 year old mba) works on their new $3000+ product - I can't afford to buy into the new tech. Side note: It was by far the best macbook I've ever used as far as build goes. I bought and crashed both 15" MBPs with the radeon pro 450 and 455 with 2gb.

I had so many issues too! Mainly Bluetooth and freezing - gave my back and I am still using my 2012 mbpr... I haven't looked back since gave it back.... just felt like I got mugged off from 3000gbp and needed more dongles

I have the new Macbook and am editing on Premiere, and the exact same thing has been happening to me too. I've edited Premiere on Apple laptops for 5 years and have never seen this happen. Disappointed with this new Macbook model! :/

I found your video because the same thing happened to me last night. I was doing some editing on Premiere and I got the same artifacts as you. I'm new to Premiere and I just discovered how to do a few things and lost about 2 hours worth of work. Not impressed.

Never had a macbook, yet had about 3 laptops with dedicated gpus, that looks like a hardware problem, try monitoring the heat of the gpu, maybe benchmark the laptop .If i remmeber correctly under bootcamp its only the dedicated gpu, you could only test that and monitor the gpu temperature with something like hwmonitor , furmark should do the gpu stress test .
Wish you luck

Mac OS X10.12.3 released addressing the Adobe problem: " Resolves graphics issues while encoding Adobe Premiere Pro projects on
MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (13- and 15-inch, October 2016)." Let me know how this works for you all.

I was one of the first people to receive the new MacBook Pro, within the first day of use (Premiere) it gave me the red screen of death. I was shocked and pissed, called Apple, brought it in to the store...diagnosis came out just fine. Then it happened again. I sent it back and apple sent me a replacement. Ahhhh that new MacBook smell all over again, I'm so happ....wait...it crashed again. Oh look there's an OS update, that probably takes care of it. NOPE. still doing it. this sucks.I even got a call from the engineering team at apple and talked to them for over 20 minutes so they can gather information and get to the bottom of it.

this sucks

There you will find that we are all having this problem when working with the Adobe apps. Final Cut X is working fine. Someone from Adobe responded that they are "working on a fix with Apple" but there is no ETA on that as of yet. The problem has been around since the Macbook came out. Noone at Adobe cared apparently.... Please add your complaint to the Adobe forum thread. The more the marrier

Adobe media encoder crashed 10 times the entire computer while rendering and I couldn't Get the rendering. I had to have it for 12 PM, it was so important to have before 12 pm, I planned to render at 8 AM, but it was impossible to render, the macbook crashed always. I switched to metal, the macbook didn't crash but the result was totally fuckt up (green lines everywhere on the video, some scenes upside down (why ???) half the frames were missing .... I booted finally with an iMac on my MacBooks SSD, and could render perfectly on the iMac just before noon. I actually hate my macbook for that !
