I was a production assistant on this video. It was shot at The Palladium on 14th Street on the edge of Greenwich Village very shortly after it had been changed from a theater concert venue into a disco.
During the production, I snuck downstairs. The floor you see people dancing on was built flat from the top of the audience bowl of the original theater. So I went down underneath and found the original stage and the rows of seats in the lowest part of the floor seating and found my actual seats I'd sat in for Zappa or Jerry Garcia Band or whatever just a couple months earlier.
And while I was snooping around down memory lane, I heard a voice of a union stagehand call out of the darkness, "Having flashbacks." :-D

This song takes me back to riding in the passenger seat in my mom's red Pontiac Fiero back in 1985. It was a 2 seater but she used to have my brother and I sit in the passenger seat together haha. The "easy" days before seat belt laws. I smile thinking about being a kid in the 80s but it hurts at the same time. I miss it.
