The prestigious annual ceremony gives junior film-makers of all ages from across the UK awards recognition and the chance to walk the red carpet alongside celebrity presenters.

Presenting the Best Documentary category rising star John Boyega tells us about his own inspirations and how important these awards are for inspiring the next generation of British filmmakers.

John also talks about his own nomination for this year's Jameson Empire Movie Awards and shares details of his next role in a tough TV drama.

Just finished watching My Murder and John Boyega's performance is really great. I wish i could say that i liked My Murder but saying that doesn't really do it justice. Its a real life story with real life consequences and was hard to watch.

I look forward to seeing this fine young actor's next move, i hope he chooses wisely.
