Honda CR-V Fog Light installation

In this video we are going to cover the installation of a Vinjet or equivalent eBay or Amazon fog light set for a 2002 2003 and 2004 Honda CRV. I was a little under the weather so sorry about the scratchy voice.

We now offer fog light kits with pre-modified wiring for both the 02-04 and the 05-06

This covers the physical installation and talks about what needs to be done with the harness and what changed you need to do. All the fog light kits come with a harness that is designed for RHD vehicles using its own harness. Most Honda Vehicles have a vacant plug on the chassis by the driver side headlight that goes to a blank plug under the dash that is for the factory fog light sets. This is typically a brown single spade plug with a blue wire.

This CRV was my first and was automatic before I got the 2 5 speed ones. I used Yellow LED bulbs because these are NOT bright fog lights I was just doing it for looks and like yellow fog lights like you can see on my black CRV with the 05-06 conversion with the large round yellow fogs. Its a personal preference and up to the user. I did not use the plastic with the chrome trim because there is NO good way to mount it and I think it looks tacky.. again personal preference.

So there are 4 different ways to wire these lights:
Turn on with headlights/park lights
Turn on with switch provided in kit BUT the switch does NOT fit in the dash.
Turn on with Honda Pilot/JDM CRV head light stalk with fog switch.
Turn on with Factory 2002-2006 CRV Fog light switch

Now some notes on above:

If you wire it just like stock then the fog lights will automatically turn off whenever you turn the bright's on like all Honda vehicles.

The switch that comes with the kit DOES NOT FIT INTO THE DASH CORRECTLY. also, the switches you see online that say they are for 2002-2006 CRV on Amazon and eBay, DO NOT FIT they are the same switch (96-05 Honda Civic) The Honda Pilot, Acura RSX, Acura MDX, Acura RDX, and Acura TL/RL switches also DO NOT FIT. There is literally only 2 switches that will fit in the dash correctly and one is the factory CRV switch but you cant get it in the states.

If you want to just make it turn on with the headlights/park lights just tap the yellow wire into the parking like plug on the headlight itself.

The next video will be how to wire these lights with all four options above and is a very long complicated video because each is very different to wire.
