Hagstrom 8 string bass. How does it sound?

I've always loved the combination of deep lows and the high-end chime that comes with an 8-string bass. Dammit...I want one now. LOL

Should buy some Deoxit and use it to clean out those switches and pots. They're not noisy because they're old or broken. They're noisy because their wipers and contacts are dirty. If you don't want to buy that, WD-40 works too. Just lightly spray it into the pots and switches, run the controls on and off until the noise goes away, and Bob's your Auntie.

Back in the early 70s, the bassist in our band had one and an Acoustic bass amp with the single 18 inch. Glad to see these getting the love they deserve. Monumental sound

I tune my 12string guitar to B. Sounds kinda the same <3

Does it still have the intonation problems because of those dual string saddles? Schaller used to make the custom single saddles specifically for this bass (original models) because of the intonation problem with stock saddles. They look the same. Schaller should start making them again. Supposedly this bass is perfect once you use those saddles
