Useless Irwin Adjustable Wood Bit Review

This is one of the worst wood bits I have ever used, The markings are not accurate, the manufacturing quality is horrible, and the geometry is so bad you need a hydraulic press to make the bit drill a hole.

It's meant for use with a drill press not a power drill. It says so on the packaging lol

I always stayed away from Irwin bits because I never heard anything good about them great video that confirms what I believed

I don't think that bit is intended for use in an electric hand drill. Use it in a drill press at very low speed. I think very few handheld electric drills have the torque to turn it at the correct speed, except maybe a big Milwaukee drill which likely might turn you instead of the bit. And why don't you try a brace for the old bits instead of cutting off the shank - you might be surprised how well they work.

you might want to understand tools before you criticize them. The tool you're criticizing is used with a hand drill a brace and bit, when you use properly with the right tool it’s an amazing tool that delivers precision results.
