Ok, im welcoming myself back to your channel, because… I stopped watching a lot of YouTubers that I used to watch, just naturally as I’ve gotten older and spent less time online… I’ve gotta say though, I forgot how enjoyable you are to watch and how articulate you are! I used to lift heavy during the same era as you. Then I burnt out on everything and got into the lowest point of my life. Tried a free class at Orange Theory fitness right next to my apartment. It saved my life, literally. I’m 300 classes in, in 2 years!! I used to make fun of people that did it. But I’m also in the best shape of my life at 29.5… I eat whatever I want and workout whenever I want. I love it so much! I’m so proud of my body and what it can accomplish and how much fun it is at the same time. I go with my friends and we laugh sing and dance while working out. Then the coach is adding a 20lb dumbbell to my 80lb dumbbell hip thrust 😂😂 fun times!!

I fell back in love with exercise with low-impact workouts like barre and pilates as well! Now my workout split every week is a variety of lifting, yoga, pilates, walking, running, spin, and I've just started tennis lessons. I will pick from these activities every week depending on how I feel.

I used to lift weights for a while until I burnt out and gained weight and felt out of control and I found move with Nicole and been doing her workouts and keep Pilates as well as walking and feel so much better and my workouts don’t feel like a chore anymore. I found the enjoyment in them again ❤ and most importantly I’ve been losing the weight little by little. And yes for me it was the same as you I did strength training because people kept saying that it’s good but I just didn’t enjoy it and caused a lot of injury and never fully recovered ( ik that’s more on me hehe) but yeah just wasn’t for me and like you said the best workout is the one you are going to do and the one you enjoy because that’s how you will be healthy in the long run. Doing what you love ❤

I used to weight train for years but two years ago I ran a marathon and would only go for walks at time. My body needed a break from the excessive workouts. I eventually got back into body weight workouts using youtube and I have enjoyed Pilates. I live in a smaller town so there is only 1 Pilates place. I am excited to get into it more so I can have more instruction but I love doing it in my house and feeling all my muscles.

I always wondered why I gravitated so much to your content and now you’ve revealed you have adhd and pmdd im like ohhhh shes just like me fr!!! When you would post a new vid like, ‘im trying this new workout’, or going on this new diet, it’s the classic adhd trait I have of hopping from thing to thing to get a hit of dopamine lol. Not sure if you already know this bc it seems like you’ve been researching a lot but people with trauma are more likely to have adhd and pmdd and thus low impact workouts are way better for our bodies and nervous system. Sometimes slowing down feels like the hardest thing for our ADHD brains but when we do movements like pilates it’s like medicine for us. I struggled to release that weight training was just burning me out even more because I desperately wanted to do it bc of the benefits / aesthetic but when you have a neurodivergence, we have to be careful where we spend our energy and find things that help us refill our cups rather than exert us to the point of burntout. So glad you are making vlogs and putting this content out jaz!! ❤ thank u xx

this has been helpful. I've been plant based for the last 7 years and don't get that much vitamin D. I've similar symptoms so definetly adding more<3
