“Gimbal” UFO 3D Reconstruction (likely a private jet)

A detailed 3D model of the Gimbal UFO encounter, which uses the motion of the clouds in the video to pin down all of the possible trajectories the object could have taken.

The answer to any question about the pilots’ expertise, classified information we aren’t privy to, other UFO cases, or anything outside the model and the geometry is “I don’t know.” The geometry of the 3D model, and how I extracted the camera-angle information, are the only things I can speak to with any authority.

It probably is a private plane with it's transponder turned off. I don't exactly remember but I think the jets were searching for a "blip" caught on primary radar. I don't remember if it was exactly like that though.

Nicely done :) the fact that not just any curved trajectory looks like a constant-speed straight line certainly bears emphasizing. Not many appreciate that, with this being so unlikely, if the SA disagrees with this estimate, it's much more likely that the SA is wrong (or interpreted incorrectly) rather than this.

I have to point out though, the clouds have been used before to sharpen the angular information, at least once by me (post #299 in the thread "Gimbal distance and Speed Range Estimates using Lines of Bearing and/or DCS" -- which also looks much nicer than my earlier efforts before smoothing the azimuths), and I don't think I was the first. What I did there amounts to approximating the clouds as being motionless at infinity, so it sure doesn't tell us as much about the range of possible reconstructions. Once more, excellent work!
