Garden Hose 1/2” vs. 5/8” - What’s the Difference & Which is Better?

Показать описание
As you have probably guessed already, the smaller the diameter of a hose is, the less water it can deliver. With this being said, 1/2 inch hoses are ideal for hand-watering and tasks that do not require much flow rate. 5/8 inch hoses are ideal for home-based applications. They can deliver about twice as much water per minute.

Smaller diameter= high pressure, low volume

Bigger diameter = low pressure, high volume

We couldn't get a real person to narrate this? "A one-two inch hose" lol.

"Since 1/2" hose has a smaller diameter, it has less water pressure"
That is a completely false statement.
pressure = flow / area
you decrease the area --> you increase the pressure

How about the bottle neck ? We have a large hose diameter.. but the connector like quick tap.. have very small hole.. smaller than 1/2 inch hose hole.. is that still good idea to use 5/8 hose instead 1/2 inch hole.. even the quicl tap hole have smaller hole ?
