She kills Garrett to protect Gomez, but Gomez took the blame to protect Morticia. That's a real selfless act of true love. ❤

The fact that her complaints to the police got ignored (due to their social status and type of person) is way too real, as well as the fact that the victims who were forced to defend themselves (as consequence of the police's inaction) also got screwed over by the same justice system.

People need someone as loyal as Gomez Addams in their lives.

Later on, Morticia visits Garrett's grave, which shows that she feels sorrow. No anger, no resentment, just saddened by what occurred.

I wonder if when Gomez said "He mistook her kindness for interest" if it was a case of her just being polite and extending common curtesies (as we see from earlier portrayals of the Addams family no matter how 'odd' or 'weird' they find the people who visit their home to be they always strive to hide it and to be as welcoming as possible) and he took it to mean interest because of his arrogance and sense of privilege and expects women to just return his interest or affection because he's from the oldest and richest family in town, and so is unable to tell the difference between interest and politeness.
Would've liked to have seen a bit more of this storyline with Garrett as well as with young Gomez, Morticia and Weems but they only had so much time in a 40 minute episode. In any case, we got the main idea.

Morticia was in such a state of shock, she couldn't remember a thing. It wasn't until later, when she heard the scream she even knew he was dead.

While I would want to see a prequel of them because the chemistry between them is like dynamite, I’m glad to see a bit of it here.

A lot of people complain that ‘the original wouldn’t hesitate to kill 🤓’ but to be honest the fact that Morticia is shocked is actually good thing, sure they don’t mind it now but scenes like this is what humanize these characters and to be honest this works so much better.

Gomez: I would die for her. I would kill for her. Either way, what bliss.

I liked Young Morticia and Gomez. They did well with the small parts they had.

I want a Back to the Future time travel story in a future season.

I never pictured Morticia being afraid to kill someone, or wearing pants...

This episode hit me so hard for some reason. I was just crying. It was so interesting to me. All the hidden references to double standards, gender equality. The chemistry between Morticia and Gomez, how powerful this scene felt, amazing job to Garrets actor by the way. Very good.

Actually Garrett was already dying from poison when he walked into the sword.

I still had a Hard time believing that Gomez lost. Didn’t they see his saber mazurka!?

I never thought I'd see Morticia, who is from a really macabre family of eccentrics, would be horrified with killing someone.

0:24 The Sword in this scene is a replica of "La Colada", one of the two swords of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar aka El Cid (1043-1099), a Castilian knight and warlord in medieval Spain. In its blade has an inscription that says "Yo soy La Colada" (I am La Colada). The other famous sword from El Cid was "La Tizona". Actualy is in display in the museum of Burgos in Spain.

Man, I feel like they didn't give the Addams the service they deserve.

I got the vibe instantly on how they handled Pugsley. Cause when eing bullied, I know he'd turn things around, or be bored and whitty, or be comfortable in a cramped environment.

I know its an excuse to show Wednesday go off, but I feel like they tried very hard to put her on the center stage and demean her brother, when I know he's just as clever as his sister when he has a mind too.

He may be a dolt at times, but he's an Addams, through and through.

I would 100% be down to see these two actors in their own show. The chemistry between them is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
