I woke up on Christmas morning in 1981 to a brand-new Yamaha YZ60 in the living room. Man, we had the best childhood

My very first bike as a 10 year old was mid seventies YZ80, looked very similar to this YZ60, ahh the memories....

That's the stuff that dreams are made of. Baddest 60 from that era!!! I had a 1980 YZ50 that we had bored out to a 60. I ate, drank and slept it night and day. That is a Bad to the Bone piece right there. Keep it up Kaplan!!!

A friend of mine had the 82 model . Down under as you know, they are white with the red seat . I get transported back in time, when I viewed this bike . Good job guys ☺

I used to have a Yamaha MX bicycle back in the day which I believe had the same forks as the 60. Sweet bike!

never had as much fun as being 13 on my brand new1983 CR80R, all my other bikes were fun, just something about being that free as a kid with a 6 spd./ 60 M.P.H. bike was magical, south Jersey pine barrens !!!

I got 2 of these same birthday from both parents mom took me to pick a bike I got those bike and a helmet and gas jug I rode it all day then dad showed up a day early to pick me up and in the back was a matching the matching bike a new helmet and another gas jug best birthday ever !!!!

I never understood why Yamaha was yellow at one time? Suzuki took over that role. Awesome bike by the way. My favorite bike was a 1989 KX80. Reliable as hell.

When I was a kid my first real dirt bike with a clutch and 5 speed was a Suzuki DS80. My Buddy Daniel had that same YZ60 and used to smoke my azz on it. It was way faster than my bike. But then I got a KX80 and everything was better.

I had one. It was my first bike and I’ve still got scars from it. I’ll have to ask dad what happened to it. It was cool as snuff for a 10 year old boy in 1992. The bike and I are about the same age but I’m showing the years more than that one.
