Lifeboat battles monster waves as Storm Ciara hits Weymouth

Lifeboat crew in Weymouth undertook harsh weather training in the midst of Storm Ciara and battled extreme waves.

The storm brought travel disruption and flooding across the UK since the weekend. Sunday's rain and wind is giving way to hazardous levels of snow and ice across the UK. Heavy snow has started to fall in some regions and a number of weather warnings are in force after the storm caused travel chaos throughout Britain and the Republic of Ireland.
