With the 3 phase machinery & cost of electricity, would it typically cost more to run them from single phase with the rotary converters vs running on 3 phase service?

CNC machine needs 220v and I have 240v, do I need to add a drop down voltage transformer? Thanks! As for wiring it's about protecting the wire so it doesn't start a fire. And mechanical protection for the wire to stop a short. Fyi. Code is simple if you can read a law book. But YES consultant or ask a sparky for proper installation. Cheers.

It's much easier in most parts of the europe. Almost every house has three phase power. So running a haas vf2 or my fehlmann is no problem at all.

I am looking at one of these X7, I currently run my mill and welders on a modern 415v generator, what type of current draw does the X7 need, and could I continue to use my generator to power it.

Im in Sweden and its easier here its only 3 phase 380 with a neutral . so your transformers secondary winding between phase and neutral is not 110 its 220 .
