Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 - 5 Months Later!

So it’s been 5 months since I first got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. In this video I want to share with you some of the personal experience I’ve had after 5 months of usage, show you how it has held up from a durability standpoint, compare it to the OnePlus Open and Pixel Fold, and share some insight on whether or not I can recommend this device to those of you considering getting one. I went from the Note 20 Ultra to the Z Fold 5 exclusive gray color on Black Friday. I must say that out of all the phones I had owned, this is no other phone I had ever experienced as a daily driver in the past 11 years. I remember seeing a Samsung concept teaser of foldable phones back in CES 2013 which I would wish to be a real device. Now, it's on my hands 10 years later, and I must say this is the game changer just how optimized this device is!

Using the Fold 5 for a month now, and I must say wow this phone is awesome from all aspects. First time fold User and I can tell you I am never going back to normal phones.
Samsung did a great job with this phone. Even the outer display is great.

Great video. I had iphones for over 10 years and was fed up with Apple bringing out new devices with minimal upgrades every year. I decided to pre order the Z Fold 5 last year back in August 23 and was the best decision I've ever made. Having a device that has replaced my laptop and tablet and being able to fit this in my pocket is an absolute game changer. The narrow front screen took a bit of getting used to but it does the job. I love the fact that I can be out at a pub and pull the device out of my pocket and it still freaks people out when they see me unfolding the phone right in front of their eyes. The Z Fold 5 is my first ever fold device and could not imagine ever switching back to a candy bar style device.

The crease is the first thing everyone asks me about owning this phone for the last few months and is the first thing most people will say is why they won't buy one. If you're gaming or reading, scrolling and you're really immersed, you won't notice the crease. I love this phone, it's my first foldable and it's so useful. The battery is amazing. I really like the slim front screen when folded which i use while out and about, . Then when I get home, I unfold it for gaming, reading or even just watching videos. I use this phone so much more than any other phone I've ever owned. RuneScape 3 runs like arse on it though, but it has improved a lot since the phone was released. Old School runs perfectly. My one and biggest issue is this is the heaviest phone I've ever owned and I've dropped it so many more times than any other phone. Official slim cases which I use don't cover the hinge and of course it's the first thing that hits the ground and scratches -.- Another big plus is the side finger print reader. I work in a trade where I use my hands a lot and my thumb print is almost none existent, but the placement of this reader makes it so comfortable to use your index finger instead. I definitely plan on sticking with foldables for as long as they're supported.

I see people complaining about the narrow front screen. This size is perfect for those of us with small hands. I couldn't wait to get my 1st z fold 3yrs ago. My disappointment is in the back camera quality.

Definitely a big improvement over the fold 4. I'd recommend this phone to anyone wanting to get into the foldable market. It's the best complete package option currently.

I upgraded to the fold 5 from the S21 Ultra about 2 weeks ago now, and honestly, I love it. I've not gotten used to the two different screens yet, still opening the phone, even for tasks which don't necessarily need the larger inner display, but I'm gradually teaching myself to use the outer display for things like calls, texts, and just checking the notifications.

Overall, so far, it has been a very good user experience, and I don't regret my choice to upgrade at all.

I returned the OnePlus open and went back to the z-fold 5. Only because the front screen is way more manageable being thinner. Also, software on the OnePlus was a complete total mess. Samsung just does a better job with hardware and software. I'm probably going to keep my z45 for about 2 years

I totally agree. the fold 5 has been a great phone for me. The multi-tasking is great. While driving to NC 8 hours away I have a phone holder/charger and I have waze, phone and music apps up at the same time. No problem with durability but you need a case. I can't see this expensive phone without a case. Very happy with it.

I own a Fold 5 and my biggest use is reading books. I like the smaller size when closed as it is much better as a phone in your hand. Love it.

Definitely one of the best foldable phones in the market the software the camera the performance of this phone is absolutely amazing cant wait for the fold 6 as leaks are showing that samsung is redesigning the galaxy z fold 6 and other extra features coming in love this video
