Thanks a lot. This helped me to fix our issue. We just had the right plunger connected and the spring and top popped off of it. I was able to turn the breaker off, wire up the one on the left hand side which was intact and it now works. Thanks for taking the time to make a video. Saved me a service call for sure.

Well, that was easy. I just super glued the little white knob on the top, and it worked. I never would have fixed it if it wasmt for you showing hoe thr pieces work. Thanks bro!

The piston that was only dinging is for the back door. The other piston dings and dongs. You did not need to cut off the plastic tab (designed to stop the back door piston from donging), you just needed to put your wire on a different terminal (one wire goes to the center, and the terminals on either side are for the front or back door (ding dong or ding).

Had the same exact melting problem. Cheap garbage NuTone shit, their products should be taken off the market.
