In Poland we're talking on this jacket "Bechatka" or "Bechatex" ;)

Looks like a great jacket, so I just ordered one. They are very fairly priced. Thanks, Mike.

Oh man, I have a flak jacket in the pattern, I might have to get a top and helmet. Are you going to get any more size 3 of the helmets? Only size 2 is in stock atm?

There is also a simple backpack in this camouflage pattern.

Hi Mike. In slang it's called BecHaTka. I'm not sure what thus stands for... It is equivalent for M65. General use winter jacket and currently is being replaced by goretex parkas. Still in use especially in National Reserve Forces, and second grade field units for use in exercises. It is excluded from Territorial Army as those unit got most modern equipment and are prioritised within logistic chain.
Initially those jackets were with fur collar in Rain Drop Cammo "Deszczyk" as wz. 58, than camo were replaced with "mora" wz. 68 with black fur collar for navy, airforce, airdefence and armour units. The rest were equipped with brown fur collars. General use jackets got only 3 external pockets. Only specialists and airborne got jackets in the shape of yours.
Later jackets lost its fur collar and camo were changed into "puma" wz. 89 (sometimes called frog due to amphibian like skin pattern).
The one you presented is like you said wz. 93 "pantera". Number of pockets grown to match paratroopers issu examples, no fur collar and poliester liner.
Jacket gained kind of cult status as it used to be worn by old grits... Heavy, tough jacket for roughly cut old salts. 😉
It is also a synonym for slowly changing thinking of staff generals never ready for future combat. Wz. 93 does fade over time but it is really hard wearing and offers good camouflage when new.
