I’ve never thought that I could see the Electone festival held in Malaysia. All students in YAMAHA had an enthusiasm for playing electone and one of their dreams is that playing on the stage like this. I feel like some kind of passion at this stage. They are having a fun time. I grad to see this video and appreciate it.

what a fun festival!! I just got a 215d organ, I hope a festival gets held in the states soon.

Very well deserved win for the one and only classical music performed with a class during this finals and dedicated to me.

These children are taught a completely different technique to what we were taught learning the organ. I was in Yamaha electone concerts so I know what I'm talking about. I see no hand positioning or triple notes, I see little pedals, I believe these kids are exploring sound over musical ability.
I also think the way Yamaha insist the player move so much when playing is not good practice.

Most of the contestants are following the 'JOC' song composition and arrangement patterns 🤣🤣. And the pattern has not changed since 1994 something. Even the registrations, drums, fillers, improvisation, are similar.

See the same festivals in Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong etc... the composititions have similarities... nothing specials, then we have to find the best of the best overall on general. Some songs from the book even same songs with different registration I played in 1994.

Anyway good entertaining performer for all.

Who are teaching these kids for this competition?

I wish they play proper Classical music. Classical symphonies like the music of Mozart’s Symphony - Symphony No.41 (The Jupiter): K-551 in C minor or Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance (Land of Hope and Glory). If they play this in a competition, they’d surely win it.

Being kids, they can also play Anime theme songs symphonies and complex symphonies like Star Wars.
