I didn't even know he wrote any books!! I was just drawing along with one of his videos from a year ago during lockdown, where he'd left New York for another state, ended up moving there. Interesting to hear the thoughts of people early one not knowing how long lockdowns would last. He should promote his books when he does videos.Thanks!

I've seen a couple of tutorial videos from the Sketchbook School yt channel and I immediately recognized Danny's art style! I did not know he wrote books. I will check them out.

This is one of my all time favorites. This is his second book I believe. His first, "Everyday Matters" is really wonderful too and one of the first I ever read on this subject. Kind of his personal story about how he came to drawing again. Beautifully illustrated. I'm sure you've probably reviewed that before, but I've always found it very moving and beautiful to look at.

What? You never did a video review on that book? Wtf ;)). This is THE book of all drawing books! :) This was also my first book when i started again with drawing. It stopped me from judging too much my sketches, to embrace drawing mistakes and to not erase while drawing. I also think, that i found your blog on amazon, when i searched for reviews on this book. :) I love this book !

I would rank this book as one of the most influential books I have ever read. Since reading this book and other books by Danny Gregory, I have embraced keeping a sketchbook and draw daily.
