Tbf, I (an Englishman) do pronounce it English mun, so that's something. Also, rappers and musicians muddle pronounciations all the time whether it be to rhyme or just keep to their local dialects. Some examples that come straight from my head include Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eminem.
