About 20 years ago the housing association I work for used use security bolts on all new boilers, they would fix them into brickwork with epoxy resin glue. We’re now replacing a load of Vokera Maxins and a few Lineas with the security bolts. They’ve definitely come back to haunt us as they’re bloody nightmare, sometimes half the wall comes off with the bolts.

Hi Alan would be good to hear on a video a review of the different boiler guarantees and the small print to keep the guarantee valid. Boiler manufactures lately pushing these guarantees and it would be good to hear a professionals experiences and thoughts on them.

Not done a 800 yet, done loads of 600’s. Nice install Allen. Find the return and mcw a bit tight underneath to fit and tighten up, apart from that good boilers.

Hi Allen, your face said it all at 5.11, ( not happy )lol, somebody did a real 4th bridge job whith all the fasteners on the hanging bracket, poor Danny neads an impact driver, I'll bet you told him there's one in the van after the fact, he, he, .only joking!. Would be good to see your thought process when sizing a boiler / radiators before starting a job.

How do you know which power rating or type of boiler to pick.
Why a baxi 800 and not a 600?
How do you know the boiler picked will heat up X amount of radiators.

Good vid Allen. We have a Apollo combi which has been in about 10 years now, never had a problem with it. Had a Worcester before that which was always breaking down. Have you ever fitted Apollo’s?

Hi Allan, If I drained and re-filled a Bosch Junior combi system. Would there be any air locked within the boiker. The Air bleed valve I believe is open above the pump. I've heard the heat exchanger could air lock up?

I could isolate the flow and return. The filling loop is right under the boiler, maybe turn off the gas and cycle it to purgue any air? I know there is a bleed tube at the top of the heat exchanger, but wondered what's your experience and advice plse thanks
