In fact, its detractors even go so far to suggest it is "just a facelift"... But the Q5, which is a top-selling family car for Audi across the globe, is an all-new product.

Good doesn't have to mean boring. Just ask the GLC. And difference in power between the GLC and Q5 isn't relevant to buyers of this car. The GLC will be coming soon with Mercs excellent new 2 litre diesel. Hands down the best 2 litre diesel I've driven. Smooth, quiet, refined and quick all while still being extremely frugal. A friend of mine got 4.5 litres per hundred on the new E220d going to Cape Town from JHB. Excellent that.

GLC220d has 125kw while 250d has 150kw. Oh and I take the Merc any day, that Audi is a facelift. Its like playing a game of “Where’s Whally”, remember that book that we all hated when we can’t find the dude with glasses and striped shirt. Same story!

However if you want to spend R800k on something like this, save another R50k and get the GLC350d with 190kw V6. The 2.0l in many of these midsize SUV’s are a Dog to drive thats why you need something with a little extra power to get going. I have a GLC 350d now and its a brilliant happy medium between power and economy!

when you can afford a Q5 with children, then you don't have to bother how high the fuel consumption is.
