The Tech TV Interviews Part 1: Cat Schwartz

I had the opportunity to chat with Catherine “Cat” Schwartz, who was a much-loved personality on TechTv. She started on The Screen Savers and later co-hosted Call for Help with Chirs Pirillo and Leo Laporte.

Great interview with Leo and Cat, and looking forward to the next ones. TechTV was a huge part of my childhood, and I'm definitely an example of one of the types of people Leo mentioned where I got into IT partially because of the stuff I was seeing on The ScreenSavers. And in these interviews, you can definitely tell how proud they are on what they did on TechTV.
Had a chance to talk to Patrick briefly at Defcon like 5 or 6 years ago, and he was an incredibly nice guy, looking forward to his interview(and the rest!)

Superb stuff. Good to see she is well. I remember Cat moved to L.A. to take part in the new network, but backed out from said new network at the last minute. Though she still moved to L.A.

Too bad I missed out on the entire TECHTV series I must not have had access to it at the time. Is there anyway to watch old episodes? Funny she mentioned Kate Botello. I had no idea she was part of Tech TV, she hosts a local classical music radio station in my area. Small world....

As an aside... what has to now be an eternity ago I had heard from someone (Laura Swisher, perhaps?) that both Cat and Morgan each shot a pilot for X-Play to see who would be the new show's co-host with Adam. Morgan won the spot due to her knowledge of video games and Cat ended up staying with Call for Help as Leo Laporte returned to the show. I've always hoped that someone would ask each of them to verify and, if so, what the experience was like. Maybe one day...

Tech Tv was filled with so many cute hotties.... Cat Schwartz and Oiliva Munn were so much fun, smart and just so happen to be easy on the eyes.... i miss it when being pretty or looking your gender was not taboo lol.
