Math Class Feels Easy... But Test Day...

In this short video, I talk about how students can feel confident in math class but then on test day, they are not prepared. The Dunning Kruger Effect captures this phenomenon because in math–and in many other subjects–the more we learn, the more we realize there is to learn on a topic.

This causes our confidence to drop but once our confidence hits rock bottom, all the confidence gained from here is actually backed by knowledge and skill.

I am hoping this short inspires people to reflect on their current studying habits–especially the quality and quantity of time they spend trying to master an idea.
