Turns out, putting all your talent points into integrity is an op sleeper build

Visa is it possible to lower the line of subtitle text slightly below Josh's chin? That way it's still easy to read but we can still admire his facial hair :D thanks for all the awesome work you do

Its great when you can say no and not worry about how you will put the next meal on the table

Taking a principled stance when able to definitely be worthwhile. The issue that Josh acknowledges is that needing more money out of necessity undermines that, and while you may become a hypocrite, I think the ideal is still worthwhile to pursue.

With enough 0s, a conflict of values is inevitable. Money isn't just money, it's the capability to realize something including an alternate value

At what point does the opportunity cost become high enough that you're giving up on a value eitherway?

Simplest example is valuing a charity for a cause. If blizzard hypothetically give you a million and you refuse, you're valuing this integrity of that value over the tens of thousands you can help

It's a strange dilemma

I appreciate standing on principles, but also appreciate the caveat that indicates Josh is human. Everyone has a price to compromise their principles, and that price sometimes has nothing to do with money.

It's rare for someone to stick to principles. Good on you mate. Keep up the good work.

I truly cannot express how lovely and rare this position is. Love this stance, love this channel. Thank you Josh!

I mean, that just means, that they figured out how much exactly those persons are valuing something.

I guess they just didn't figure your value out and/or aren't willing to pay that.

I wonder what the stipulations were on the contract. Were they trying to control what he could say? I mean if he could do a honest review of the fame I don’t see how it would be any different than any other game.

Suggest they were requiring him to do or say something.

That’s what I love to see, not sacrificing your integrity and values for money

I mean the good thing about sponsored content is that you are legally required to state that it is sponsored.
So at that point I stop taking seriously whatever the content creator says until the ad is over lol.
I appreciate the integrity but I would just say take the money. I think most people understand that content creators have to make a living, as opposed to like 10 years ago where they criticize everyone for accepting money from corporations.

Long time wow player here and I highly respect this. I’m glad you stand firm in your choice, keep hanging in there and stay strong!

It reminds me of a time when Albion sponsored "Worst MMO Ever" episode about itself. I'd love WoW to have the same balls, that would be content.

You should just take it mate, we all need to earn a living. A sponsored video once in a while won’t hurt your reputation to me.

If it means we get more content long term, as the gig is sustainable, it’s worth it as a viewer

Your honour and self-respect does not have a price, what an excellent example to set in these times when our leaders seem totally deplorable and worthless.

To rephrase the quote, "If you don't stand up for what you believe in, then you admit you don't stand for anything."

Go forth with power, Josh. *salute*
