LYTX Camera MOVED! | Victory | Trucking Answers

Here is an update I just got from the driver with the lytx camera in the middle of the windshield. He took my advice and took action. Putting everything in writing, he sent his manager and safety department an email detailing why the camera placement was against regulations and also unsafe. I mean, putting the lytx drive cam in the middle of the windshield is just dumb, right? Anyway, they MOVED the drive cam back up and are going to move all of them back up that they had moved down. I didn't know this but he said there were close to 100 of them to move. So, the trucking company had to spend money to move them down and then had to spend money to move them up again. Brilliant. Please, take action at your company if they are doing something that is outside of the regulations or something that it is making it unsafe for you to drive. We should not have to choose safety or a paycheck and neither should the general public. Be safe and enforce that safety on your company as well although it is sad we have to do that. Victory!

I agree with what you are saying but remember it's insurance companies that put pressure on trucking companies to install latest technology cameras to acquire lower premiums and to allow more real time evidence in accident litigation

I give it a month, and the driver will be fired. You cant stand up to these big companies like that, it's scripture, you just can't!!! Just sit back and watch, they will slowly starve him out, or find a reason to fire him!!!

Drivers need nore G.O.A.L. decals on the mirrors also. Two per West coast mirror is not enough. I need to call safety!

In GA it is illegal to have Anytging attached to your front window. Sadly it is not enforced by law officers unless they are bored and looking for excuse to write tickets.

Or else they could just go to a company that don't have cameras I will never work with company that have driver facing cameras
