An Honest Stray Review

My honest thoughts on Stray, one of the most anticipated cat simulators of the year. Some say stray is the cutest game ever, some love it, and some hate it. I covered the good and bad of stray with some ideas for how the game could be better.

As an added note, Stray is free with PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium in case you guys want to try it out.

I personally play games a lot so the upgraded PS Plus was definitely worth for me, but even if you guys don't play that much, a month of PS Plus extra is only 5 bucks more than the standard price. You'll save money by doing that and still have more than enough time to fully explore this game.

I consider Stray more like an interactive movie. As a matter of fact, I consider it a prequel to the “Love, Death, + Robots” storyline “Three Robots”.

I absulotely love this game imo. Amazing story, simple but yet great gameplay and the game's world is beautiful. But great review :D

One note to add that this is an indie game not a triple a game made by some huge company yet it performed better than most of those games, the simplicity yet subtle difficulty made it a blast to play, with it's rich graphics and entertaining story, alot of people compare this to major games and it gives it an unfair review with them not realizing that it wasn't made by a huge company but a group of people who poured out their soul into this game, overall a wonderful game, 9.5/10

It's funny how we can all have such different views of things. I for one enjoyed the cat dynamics and movements, and liked that the controlled environment for movement gave me the space to enjoy the interactions, the environment, and the music. I spent longer than many probably do, exploring every nook and cranny of the larger spaces, to get a feel for them, and it all ends up feeling remarkably immersive. I think the more linear levels where you're having to run for you life, kill enemies, and unlock doors, gets complex enough to keep it interesting.

That haptic feedback feature really looks awesome, I feel like its such a creative option for developers that's sadly underutilized.

Awesome review, very well stated 👏
My takeaway from this is Stray would be a good game to pick up when it's on sale... I can't justify $30 on a forgettable sub 5 hour game
