Waldent glasseal is a Light cure fluoride-releasing glass ionomer liner that
provides continuous fluoride release, adheres well to the tooth structure, and
has versatile applications. It also promotes remineralization, reduces
sensitivity, and helps in preventing secondary caries.
COMPOSITION-
Urethane Dimethacrylate resin, Bisphenol A Glycidyle Methacrylate, Barium
Sulphate, FluoroAluminoSilicate Glass Powder, Silanated Barium Glass Powder
(Filler), Amorphous Fumed Silica, Photoinitiators (Curing agent) and Stabilizers.
FEATURES-

 Waldent glasseal continuously releases fluoride ions,
promoting remineralization and helping to prevent
secondary caries formation.
 It is well-tolerated by oral tissues, minimizing the risk of
adverse reactions or sensitivity.
 The liner exhibits excellent adhesion to the tooth
structure, ensuring a durable and long-lasting seal.
 The liner is radiopaque, allowing for easy identification on
dental radiographs.

INDICATIONS-

 It acts as a protective layer in deep cavities, offering
added strength and reducing the risk of postoperative
sensitivity.
 It can be used as a base under composite restorations,
promoting adhesion and minimizing microleakage.

 It helps in preventing secondary caries formation around
the restoration margins.

DIRECTIONS TO USE-

 Prepare the tooth surface by removing any debris or
carious tissue.
 Attach the applicating tip to the glasseal syringe and apply
a thin and uniform layer of the liner to the prepared tooth
surface, ensuring complete coverage of the desired area.
 Cure the applied liner for 15-20 seconds.
 Finally proceed with the placement of the restorative
material, such as composite resin or amalgam, directly
over the cured liner.
