WMMT6RR+ Announcement & New Features Information

To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune Series, the Development Team announced the new version titled "Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6RR Plus" on October 22 2023 last week.

A lot of new features and information is revealed during the announcement and this video is going through them in just 4 minutes.

IMPORTANT NOTES / CORRECTIONS

[Feature 2] As pointed out by a commenter, Mr Yakata has actually confirmed the final list of 6 event cars that will be made available from start in the livestream. The list is the same as the one in the video.

[Feature 3] The slight physics change will affect handling and power to a mild extent starting from 600HP. The effects of weight and power is felt at low gears and high HP.
It is not a major change to the game, it gives the car the "shaky movement" seen in another Namco racer "Dead Heat".

[Feature 4] Its unclear whether new aero kits will be added to the DU parts list of some cars or replace existing ones for those cars.

[Feature 4.55] Titles earned in 6RR can be carried over to the new 6RR+ version.
- Forgot to add to the video due to oversight, sorry for the inconvenience.

[Feature 7] The cut of the song I theorized to be the new 6RR+ entry theme is actually the OFFICIAL THEME as it was played throughout the livestream. The song was released on the internet shortly after the announcement but no clean audio exists as of now.

Thank you for the update video first off. Second, All American players are delusional if they seriously want MT6 at all. From 5 to 5dx+ is a huge update compared to all of 6 to 6rr+. New cars doesnt make me want a more grindy money taking game or terrible physics or playing through 100 stories. Nothing of this should not make any US player want 6. It adds nothing more worth value and i hope we stay with 5dx+ for a long time.

So if WMMT6RR+ is releasing exclusive for the Japanese/Asian market in 2024, then there is a slight chance that WMMT6, under the name Maximum Tune 6, can release in America, just like how Maximum Tune 5DX+ released for the American market in 2022 as WMMT6RR released for the Asian market in 2021.

The Japanese JAEPO event confirm several key point:
It will be run under Event Mode with 4-player match
You can't use your own Bandai Namco Passport during the event
Only Fairzady Z Version ST(RZ34) can be used, but are allow to choose any horsepower to play
