I agree… He was probably getting short changed… Henley is an ass… why would he stay? I do hate it though, because they were fantastic! I loved every second of the concert I saw. Vince was fantastic too! Hopefully they offer Deacon what he deserves and he returns. ❤

I worked for a Limousine service in Los Angeles and the Eagles were one of our clients. I worked for the company from Hotel California, Heartache tonight and the live album. Whenever they came back to town or left we always picked them up and drove them to their destinations. I drove all of them and Henley was the biggest pain in the ass out of the five of them. He lived up in the Hills and getting to his house was done so with a lot of twists and turns. Mind you this is before GPS and all that we had to navigate with were Thomas Bros map guides. Henley always got pissed off at the driver if they did not know the directions by heart and would call the office to complain. Whenever there was an order to pick them up everyone dreaded getting Henley.

The thing about Felder is that he wasn't actually a hired gun. Even though he didn't officially join the band until the 4th album, he was legally an equal member. But Henley and Frey treated him like a hired hand.

Timothy is a team player. He's stayed quiet and collected his millions of dollars. Not as many millions as Don and Glenn but still millions. Smart man.

I was a huge Eagles fan all my life. That all changed when I watched "The history of the eagles" part 1&2 available on YouTube. The members of the band were all to have an equal share in the band but that all changed when they achieved some success. Glen and Don Henley became the dictators of the band and, even when Don Felder and Joe Walsh performed the guitar solo on Hotel California, the camaras would never focus on them. Don Felder never got the recognition he deserved. When he asked Joe Walsh to back him up Joe was afraid to do so. Joe has a drug and alcohol addiction and being part of the Eagles saved his life and he was afraid speak up. When Glen died, Don Felder should have been invited back. The man is a genius. It will never happen an I will never enjoy the Eagles again. Tommy C

The day that Frey and Henley screwed over Don Felder was my last day as an Eagles fan. Their most iconic hit would never have happened without Felder, but they treated him like crap. I hope that someday the settlement details come to light, because I believe Henley and Frey ended up paying way more to Felder than they would have if they had given a fair share to him when he was in the band.

Felder puts on a fantastic show plus he loves his fans. The guy stayed around after the concert was over & signed autographs. Nice guy!

It’s nice to hear the impressions of the music by the Eagles from anyone other than an American. I grew up in California and listened to the Eagles from their first album. I knew the Eagles touched the hearts of people throughout the world but never imagined the impact they might have on someone from Ireland. Thank you for your “t’oughts” on this super group.

The eagles lineup with Randy and Bernie was the best. They should be brought back with Don Felder. That would be a reunion concert a lot of people would like.

He's just a youngster. He filled in for his Dad so beautifully and gained confidence with the band, so I think it's understandable that he didn't just want to continue playing the same material over and over but to progress with his own new material and make a big name for himself. I wish him great success.

I saw a street performer on Fremont Street in Vegas playing Hotel California and I was looking to see if Henley was around trying to get royalties from him! I agree that Henley is driven by finance. I remember the Eagles giving me my first ticket gouging 1994.

Good video. I used to be an Eagles fanboy. They have done things that were incredible. They play well and they harmonize even better. When Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon left, I thought it was normal attrition. Then Don Felder got the axe and it did not seem like a friendly departure. I started to see movies showing the tension in the band. Even Timothy B. Schmidt said in an interview, every rock band is constantly on the verge of breaking up. Then, I started to notice Don Henley seemed "hard to get along with". He seems too full of himself, and arrogant. I will always be a fan of "The Eagles" but I don't consider the current lineup as The Eagles. Nothing against Deacon, or Vince Gill but when Glen Frey died, that was the end of the Eagles for me.

Felder is brilliant, his playing on lying eyes live (here on YouTube) is a masterclass in double stops, triplets and 6ths. Understated but perfect for the song. It should have been on the record.

I don't know if people really know how amazing of a guitar player Felder is... He is incredible!

To me the Eagles are one of the true " super groups " to emerge in my lifetime, and I'm now 75. Their individual talent is beyond reproach - but Henley has always been a sticking point for me ! From his demeanor / persona, I have never been able to like the guy. I thought Don Felder never got the recognition he deserved and when he left, I instinctively knew that Henley was in the mix somewhere. Glen Frey and Henley were pretty close and I think they would throw their weight around a bit ! Joe Walsh is a phenomenal guitarist and T.B.Schmit has one of the best voices out there . To conclude, I would hazzard a guess that mr Frey jnr was probably being kept in his place - probably by Henley ! so no real surprises there then .

Don Henley is a Diva. He has always put himself first and always will. To keep this band going has to be about just the money. There is no creativity anymore. Bring back Don Fielder!

The Eagles stopped existing when Glenn Frey died and they should have stopped it right then. But Henley just could not give up the money no matter how much money he already had. He could be the greediest musician of all time.
