100% agree on Jeepers Creeprs. There’s a suspense movie I haven’t seen and will NEVER see, not because it’s a bad movie but because it’s one of my BIGGEST fears. It’s called Awake (2007)

It’s about a man who goes into surgery and while he’s supposed to be unconscious, he feels EVERYTHING that the doctors are doing to him and they unfortunately can’t tell that he’s in pain feeling everything. Based on a true story. I just refuse to see it lol

Calling Mother a love/hate film makes total sense. It’s SO anxiety inducing. I understand how it could trigger people. I love the themes it explores.

Thank you for speaking out about Jeepers Creepers, MM, and Lost Prophets. Hollywood has this seedy side where pedophiles are able to continue to work with children. It's disgusting. I support your decision completely!

I'm sorry you're getting some invasive/infantilizing comments about your pregnancy and love of horror. You are fully capable of taking care of yourself and knowing your own limits, and it's no one on the internet's business to be questioning what you should and shouldn't do while pregnant. I wish you and the baby well!!

Incident in a ghostland main actress had an accident while filming that scarred her face. She sued the director and production company.

I feel like the first orphan movie could also be potentially triggering/sensitive to people who are pregnant, especially that first scene.

I get "how does being pregnant change your view?" but "SHOULD you be watching horror?" is a bit ridiculous, lol

Just had my first baby in July & during my pregnancy my grandmother kept telling me I was going to actually curse my child because I was going to see X in theatres while visiting my family in Vegas. I watched Ghostland for the first time during my pregnancy and it was one of the best films I watched this year lol during pregnancy I had more of a strong aversion to sex scenes in films and tv and would actually gag . But I’m surprised you mentioned Mother! Because that was one I couldn’t bear to watch during pregnancy and even now postpartum. It gives me such anxiety my breathing changes

I saw Hereditary the day I found out I was pregnant and it hit me REAL hard and it's still the scariest movie to me. I read the In the Tall Grass novella while pregnant, also a bad time. And a friend just described a screen from Witch when I was 6 weeks along and still have yet to see it. Being pregnant and then having a child changes ones perspective dramatically.

I just want to say, I never really watched Horror before I started watching this channel. I'm really branching out now with old horror or PG13 or light r movies. Thank you for making me feel like watching light horror is ok, that I don't have to love it all to still like horror.

I completely agree with you on the separating the "art from artist" I'm just reminded of how gross they are whenever I consume any kind of media that they have now tainted.
Also "No judgment" and that's the reason I'm here because so many other people who love films and/or horror are just toxic. I love your videos!

I think it’s great to understand one’s limitations, and I appreciate your honesty in sharing especially given you’ve already gotten some comments about it. You’re also very considerate in how you get that horror you’re no longer into would appeal to others. Thank you for sharing, and good luck with the pregnancy!

Love that you mentioned Jeepers Creepers on this list. I too saw the first one at a time where Salva’s crimes weren’t common knowledge or widely publicized and were something that required lots of online digging to uncover. It was some time after the release of the second one that I found out, and at that point completely separated myself from anything Salva ever did (or ends up doing in the future). I don’t own any JC movie in my collection, nor will I ever support one. As a single parent of one somewhat young child and one very young child, this is a hill I’m willing to die on no matter how many toxic internet trolls who aren’t bothered by Salva’s repugnant past try to insult me about it.

I'm reminded of the '80s. A woman I worked with was pregnant and went to see Alien. The John Hurt scene *really* did a number on her. That was around the time I read The Stand and I had a bad phlegm-y cold.

Agreed. There are two areas where there is NO redemption for me with an artist. One, pedophelia, and the other domestic animal abuse. I will not support nor watch and/or listen to anything these deviates create.

I am a huge horror movie fan. I love horror, always have and always will. Your intro reminds me of when my grandmother told me to stop watching horror movies while pregnant. I kinda listen to her and only watched thriller/ easy to watch/silly horror movies, stayed away from disturbing, psychotic and demented movies lol. I love my grandma and she was kinda of right.

"Sensitive Sarah" is great! Embrace it... Dig that your video offerings have a touch-of-VLOG lately... Wishing you well.

Also that Ghostland movie, the child actress got injured during the shooting. Think she has a scar on her face now :/

I can totally relate to this video, I never hear anyone else mentioning how pregnancy affects their love of horror movies lol. I remember with my first pregnancy I tried watching Excision and couldn’t even finish it. Love your videos and congrats on your baby!
