Judge rejects controversial plea deal in Minneapolis carjacking

A Hennepin County judge has rejected a plea deal for a young man who pled guilty to his role in a deadly 2019 Minneapolis carjacking.

A carjacking ends in murder, and the defendant gets a plea deal to avoid all prison time. This is outrageous. I don't care if he is "rehabilitated." His victim will not have that option.

I’m so confused. Why would the prosecution be on the defendants side? And probation for an armed carjacking murder case? Are you kidding me!? The audacity to even ask for probation…
