I was born 2003, I'm fond of watching old movies and when I discovered him and claudine, their tandem, my love for old filipino movies even grew.

I was born in 2006, nearly four years after Rico's death. I first heard of him last year when Cinemaone aired Got 2 Believe. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of old movies, especially given my age and my generation, everything was completely different back then but G2B was kind of entertaining for me. I realized he was indeed a very handsome guy the moment I caught a glimpse of him, and that he once existed and I wasn't there to see him alive and breathing, as I am now. His passing was pretty tragic and traumatic. Also, the fact that he died at such very a young age saddens me the most. He was a good person that has a good heart which made me realize why he is still remembered by many. That although he is gone his memory had remained alive and well,  until this day.

Today is the death anniversary of Rico Yan. Tandang tanda ko pa yung panahong namatay si Rico Yan. Naaalala ko nung unang inannounce na wala na si Rico, nasa bahay kami ng tita ko sa QC. Nanunuod kami ng Himala sa Cinema One noon ng kuya ko tapos biglang nag commercial. May pinapakitang stretcher at nakalagay, "Rico Yan, pumanaw na". Di kami makapaniwala noon. Ayaw maniwala ng Tita ko. First time kong makawitness ng namatay na sikat na sikat na batang artista. 10 years old pa lang ako noon. Tapos sa mga palabas, palageng Got to believe in Magic, The Warrior is a Child, I will be here, What matters most, at If you come back ng Blue ang pinapatugtog. Kaya pag naririnig ko ang mga kantang yan, nalulungkot ako pero at the same time, naging favourite songs ko ang mga ito. Up to now, ramdam ko pa rin yung pain. Fan talaga ako ng Claudine-Rico love team. 💖😔

natatandaan ko pa noon, halos isang bwan nawalan ng kuryente sa lugar nina mama noon.. nagbabakasyon dat time kc wala ng pasok sa school..sobrang idol ko c rico yan..naglalaro kami sa hauz ng tita ko at biglang pinatugtug ung radio na may batery at jn agad ang ibinalita..di pa ako makapaniwala at hindi ako nakapagsalita..biglang may sumigaw na meron n dw kuryente at nagtatakbo ako pauwi sa bahay ng lola ko..pagkabukas ko ng TV, mukha agad ni RY nakalagay..sunday na dat time at the buzz ung palabas with boy abunda..iyak ako ng iyak sa harap ng TV.ung lola ko na d maxadong makalakad, xa pa kumuha ng tubig para mapainom ako😭..ngaun nagsilabasan na nman ang about kay RY, bumabalik sakin ung sakit na naramdaman ko noon😢..i miss u so much RICO..sana madalaw kita balang araw😢

1997 ako pinanganak at naalala ko tapos kwento nadin sakin ng mama ko, si rico yan yung nag guide samin sa studio ng abs nung field trip .

So cute, back in 2014 one of my grade 7 students asked me who do I think is the most handsome Filipino actor, and I replied "Rico Yan". They were like "who's that sir?" and I said "You know Claudine?" they used to be together. They said "the aunt of Julia? isn't she old?" then I said "back in the day it was not like that, not like that, but you won't get it."

I was in 1st year high school 2012, that time may studio 23 pa nun sa TV and then pag 12 :00nn time may pinapalabas movie sakto yung palabas si Judy Anne Santos ang bida, of course I know her since napapanuod ko na sya. And here's the thing yung leading man nya don sa movie hindi ko kilala and honestly ang lakas ng charisma nya and gwapo gusto ko din the way he talk its like conyo vibes. So I asked my mom kung sino sya and she said "Ah..Si Rico Yan" sabi ko artista pa rin ba sya since hindi ako familiar. Na shocked ako nung sabihin ni Mama "Patay na yan matagal na"😮 I don't know bakit bigla ako nalungkot at nanghinayang. 5 years lang ako nung namatay sya kasi 1997 ako.

I was 4 years old when Rico Yan died, napanood dahil bata pako kaya ko nakilala kasi lagi sinasabi ng ate ko dati na lahat ng notebook nya Rico Yan ang cover kaya nung nagkaroon ng internet at social media nagsearch ako kay Rico, diko sya napanood noon dahil bata pako pero naiiyak talaga ako pag pinapanood ko yung movie nila ni Ms. Claudine 💖
