Wow, the Sonoma coast is gorgeous! I loved exploring trails both on and off the coastline for a fun mix of redwood forests, bluffs, and sand. Plus, I stayed at the most spectacular treehouse! I hope you enjoy coming along for the adventure 🌊

I absolutely love this video! I live in a small town in the Sierras but was born and raised in Sacramento. My family and I have been camping on the Sonoma Cost for many, many years. At the end of the day, we are all just trying to make it anyway we can. That will look different for everyone. Life can drastically change when we least expect it, and sometimes we are forced to live a way we never thought we’d have to. Speaking from experience, you are doing the best you can with what you have to deal with. Your children are so loved and you are a great example. They see that. Jen, I have been watching you since the very beginning. I know you may not feel this now, but I hope that one day you find a balance. Still loving your travel, but also creating and cultivating a very cozy home for yourself. Right now it seems like you feel more comfortable traveling and have some sorrow about being without your children, but I see how happy these places you go to give you joy. The airbnbs can truly be recreated in a different way in your own home space. Right now it seems like your house is very unfinished, but it may be a good challenge for you to push yourself to make it as cozy as you love it to be, and very different than your previous home. You will benefit from it, and so will your children as that is their home too. I know you may not take my advice now or ever, but I do wish the best for you.

Pretty sure the sea bird was a pelican. You see them all over the coast. In fact, we were in the Monterey area this week and watched them hunting in the waves.

I see nothing flighty or frivolous about your travels and exploration. What you do takes GREAT courage and discipline. I’d give anything to summon the courage to travel cross country alone. These videos will be the greatest legacy you can impart to your children. Each time they see you persevere and tackle a new adventure will strengthen their resolve to achieve whatever their hearts call them to do.
